Hi! I’m Zelda Magnolia, but my friends call me Maggie. I’m a 9-month-old, 42-pound Sheepadoodle, and I have one very simple question: Where are you going, and can I come too?

I’m what you might call a Velcro doodle. If you’re in the kitchen, I’m in the kitchen. Going to the couch? Excellent, I was also going to the couch. Bathroom? Apparently we’re going to the bathroom. I just really love my people. I’ll curl up beside you, put my head in your lap, or casually make sure one paw is touching you at all times. Personal space seems unnecessary when we could be cuddling.

I came into rescue as an owner surrender with a pretty painful ear infection and UTI that hadn’t been treated. But I’m feeling so much better now, and somehow I never stopped believing people were pretty great. Turns out I was right.

I LOVE toys. My favorite activity is removing every single toy from the toy box, carefully distributing them throughout the house, and waiting for foster mom to put them all back so I can immediately begin again. She calls it a mess. I call it job security.

I also love walks, chasing balls, playing outside, car rides, and DOGS. I adore my foster siblings and frequently invite them to play by barking or enthusiastically presenting them with a toy. I’m still learning that sometimes other dogs would like me to stop being their activities director, so I’m working on boundaries and entertaining myself.

I’m doing great with potty training and even ring a bell when I need to go outside. I walk nicely on leash, sleep through the night, and am starting basic training. Sometimes my excitement arrives before my manners do, but I’m only nine months old. I’m learning!

The biggest thing I’ve learned, though, is that my people come back. There will be another walk, another meal, another game, another cuddle. I don’t have to spend my days alone wondering when someone will choose me.

Now I know I’m loved.

I’m looking for an active family who wants a walking buddy, adventure partner, professional toy scatterer, and world-class snuggler. Give me structure, patience, playtime, and a spot beside you on the couch, and I’ll give you my whole heart.

I’m Maggie. I’ve already learned what it feels like to be loved. Now I’m just waiting to find out what forever feels like.
