Winston‘s Story

Hi everyone! My name is Winston and I will probably love you! I am a 2-year-old, 15 pounds poodle mix and I'm ready to be adopted by a loving family, big or small! I am very active and love love love being outside but can tend to be an escape artist so I need a secure fence if I'm going to be outside without a leash. If you just want a cuddle buddy, I can be that too. I can tend to get a bit territorial when strange people are walking by my windows and bark but if you tell me to quiet down a few times, I'll do it. My favorite toy to play with is SOCKS! I love socks, primarily my foster dad's socks but I will take what I can get. I am house, car, crate, and potty trained, I have it all! I am friendly to every person, big or small, I meet. I tend to get really excited when I meet fellow canines but all I want to do love on them. Peanut butter might be my favorite food but I'm liking kibble more and more each day. My foster mom wishes she could keep me but says I'm going to meet the perfect family and have my happily ever after!

Winston is a ball of energy and is always go-go-go! He could go on hour long walks to explore the neighborhood if it was up to him. He loves to be pet and told he's a good boy. Although he hasn't quite mastered fetch, throwing him a balled up sock across the room will keep him entertained for hours. He doesn't love being in the crate because he knows he's in there for not being a good boy or when it's bedtime but he doesn't make too much of a fuss about it. Winston is potty trained but he loves to stop and sniff the flowers! Classy guy, what can we say? He's not a constant barker but will alert you if he hears any footsteps that shouldn't be around. Do you have another pet? It might be perfect for Winston because he has a ton of energy to burn off everyday. Winston also loves to cuddle up next to you in the morning and next to your feet on the couch. He's gotten around to the idea of his name and will poke his head around the corner in the cutest way if you call. Winston is such a sweet guy and only wants to protect those around him.
