Hi, I’m Whitney, but my foster mom calls me Millie, and I think that name suits me just fine! Every time she says it, my tail wags like crazy. I’m a 38-pound doodle mix with the most unique black and white coat—truly one of a kind! The vet says I’m somewhere between 2 and 4 years old, but I like to think I’m the perfect age for love.
I may only have three legs, but don’t let that fool you—I can keep up with the best of them! My back leg was amputated in February, but I bounce around like a pro and absolutely love going on strolls. In fact, I get so excited for mealtime that my foster family calls me a “pogo stick” because I do little hops when I see my food coming. What can I say? A girl’s gotta eat!
My days start bright and early at 6:45 a.m., and I’m ready for breakfast the moment my eyes open. Afterward, I go on a nice, easy-paced walk. I don’t pull on the leash, but I’m still figuring out which side is best to walk on—decisions, decisions! During the day, I’m all about lounging in my doggie bed or curling up on the couch near my foster mom. Since I’m still working on gaining a little weight, I get to eat three times a day—lucky me! Staying active will always be important for my health as a tripod, so my forever family should love gentle walks as much as I do.
I’m potty trained but prefer a buddy to keep me company outside. At night, I settle in on my doggie bed or snuggle up in my foster mom’s bed—I’m not really a fan of crates. I’m still working on feeling completely safe when new people come over. I might bark at first, but I warm up with a little time and patience. Car rides are fun, but I can be a bit wobbly, so having my own safe spot in the car is a must.
If you have another pup, we should make sure we’re a good match! Sometimes, I get a little possessive of the bed and will give a soft growl to let them know I’d rather have my space. But with the right furry friend and a loving, patient family, I know I’ll thrive! Could that be you?
