Hi! I’m Twinkle — and I’m ready to sparkle my way into your heart!

I’m a 2-year-old, 15-pound Poodle mix with a gentle soul and the sweetest personality. I started life as a stray pup in the Rio Grande Valley, but I’ve adjusted very quickly to the good life — cozy beds, tasty meals, belly rubs, and lots of love. Honestly? I think I was made for this.

I’m more of a mellow girl, but every now and then I get the zoomies and like to show off my playful side. Most of the time, though, I’m happiest simply being near my people. I’ll happily keep you company while you work, join you for walks, or relax quietly during car rides. I’m especially wonderful with tiny humans — I love curling up in laps and giving gentle affection.

My day usually starts around 7 a.m. when my foster family wakes up. I eat breakfast with everyone and then head to my foster mom’s work-from-home office to supervise the day. I enjoy watching squirrels and birds from the window, and I occasionally sit in on meetings when emotional support is required. Throughout the day, I take little outdoor breaks for fresh air and potty time — I’m a very good girl and only potty outside.

Dinner is around 5 p.m., followed by a nice evening walk around 7:30. By 9 p.m., I’m tucked into my kennel with my comfy bed and favorite stuffies, and I sleep quietly through the night.

I’m still learning my basic commands, but I’m a quick learner and a great listener. I also just received my final round of heartworm treatment, so I’ll need a family that can help me rest and recover for the next few weeks while I finish healing. After that, I’ll be good to go and ready for all of life’s adventures!

Mostly, I just want a family to love and a cozy place to call home. If you’re looking for a sweet, calm companion who will happily stay by your side through life’s everyday moments, I might just be your perfect girl.

- Calm family to help me recover from heart worm treatment
- Dog sibling or work from home parent preferred but not required
- Patience for Training
