Hi, I'm Tula (pronounced Too-la)! I'm a 1-year-old, 35-pound Poodle mix with the cutest curly hair and a whole lot of love to give! I'm a happy, playful girl with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a goofy side that keeps my foster family laughing. When I get excited, I do the funniest little jumps and happy circles! I love playing with other dogs, exploring outside, and spending time with my favorite humans. And when I'm ready to relax, there's nothing better than cuddling up with my people!

I'm an energetic girl who loves having fun, but I'm also learning that it's okay to slow down and take a break. Sometimes I get so excited about everything happening around me that I have a hard time settling on my own, especially when other dogs are nearby. My foster family is helping me learn how to balance playtime with quiet time, and I'm making progress every day! I do best with a predictable routine that includes daily walks, playtime, mental enrichment, and opportunities to recharge.

I'm still learning some important life skills! I'm working on potty training, basic commands, leash manners, and keeping all four paws on the ground when I'm excited. I can occasionally have little accidents when I get overly excited, too. I enjoy other dogs, especially playful ones, but I'm still learning to respect their boundaries and recognize when it's time to take a break. I can also be a little hesitant about getting into the car, although I generally ride well once I'm settled in the back seat.

My foster family has also been helping me with crate training, and I'm getting better and better every day! I'm learning that having my own quiet space and a consistent routine can help me feel comfortable and relaxed. I'm a girl who loves being close to her people, so I'll need a family who can continue helping me build confidence and independence through patience, positive reinforcement, and practice.

My ideal forever home will be with a patient, loving family who understands that I'm still learning how to navigate the world around me. I can become easily overstimulated, so having structure, consistency, and gentle guidance will help me thrive. I'd love an active family who enjoys spending time outside and can provide plenty of exercise while also helping me learn when it's time to relax. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but it's not required. Since I haven't been around children and can be a little bouncy when excited, I'll need a home with children ages 10 and older. A flexible schedule and a commitment to continuing my training will help set me up for success!

Most importantly, I need a family who will love me for the sweet, silly girl I am while helping me continue to grow. I have so much love to give, and I'm learning new things every day! I may be a little whirlwind of curls and excitement, but underneath it all, I'm an incredibly affectionate girl who just wants to love and be loved. I can't wait to find my forever family!
