Hi, I’m Teddy Bear, and yes—I’m just as cuddly and devoted as my name suggests. I’m a 1-year-old poodle mix weighing about 14 pounds, and my favorite place in the world is wherever my people happen to be. If you move, chances are I’m right behind you. I love being part of everything and am happiest when I can spend my day by your side.

I’m still a young guy, so I have plenty of puppy energy and curiosity. I like to investigate everything around me, which means having clear boundaries and lots of appropriate things to keep my busy mind occupied helps me thrive. I can be a little shy at first, especially around strangers and loud noises, but once I realize I’m safe, I become a loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to love and be loved.

My days usually start around 8 a.m. with a trip outside to stretch my legs and take care of business. I enjoy working for my meals with puzzle toys and treat balls, which help slow me down and give my brain a fun challenge. One of my favorite things is going on long walks around the neighborhood, taking in all the interesting smells and sights along the way. I’m not too concerned about other dogs—I’d much rather focus on my people and our adventures together.

I’m still learning the ropes and working on my manners. I already know how to sit, and I’ve been practicing “down” and “stay.” Sometimes I get so excited about treats that I wiggle with happiness and forget to listen, but I’m eager to learn and love making my people proud.

Because I love attention so much and can get overly enthusiastic, I would do best in a home without small children. I tend to follow kids everywhere and get so excited that I have a hard time keeping all four paws on the ground, so older children who understand puppy manners would be a much better fit for me.
