Hi, my name is Teddy, and honestly, it fits me perfectly because I’m basically a big goofy teddy bear who just wants to love you. I’m a 15-month-old apricot-colored male standard poodle mix, and at 65 pounds I’ve got lots of love to give.

I’m the Teddy bear you’ve been looking for—big heart, youthful energy, and a million-dollar smile. If you’ve had a rough day, I’ll be right there to greet you with happy hops, silly wiggles, and enthusiastic hugs, all in exchange for a belly rub. I love playing fetch and tug-of-war, especially when the neighborhood kids come out to play. Afterward, you’ll usually find me soaking up the sunshine or snoozing nearby. I also love learning tricks when treats are involved… and I’ll admit it, I taught myself how to open doors. Helpful skill, right? I’m loyal too, always keeping a watchful eye on my people, even if it’s just peeking through a crack in the door.

My days start with an early morning potty break and a little rabbit patrol (don’t worry, I’ve never caught one). After breakfast, I’m happy hanging out with my foster mom, either napping in my crate or lounging at her feet until the kids come home and it’s playtime all over again. Evenings usually include a walk, dinner, and some backyard zoomies before bedtime. I don’t mind being brushed once or twice a week and will practically fall asleep while you do it.

I do have a cute little corkscrew tail that wiggles when I’m excited, and while it doesn’t bother me, I’ll need regular grooming and backside trims to stay clean and comfortable. Since I’m still young, I can get overly excited meeting new people, and I sometimes pull on walks or get a little too curious around counters, but I’m learning quickly with consistent training and guidance. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, fun-loving companion who’s ready to grow into an amazing best friend, I’d love to meet you.

- Fenced in Yard
- Work From Home Parent (or) Flexible Schedule
- Patience for continued training
