Hi, I’m Striker! I’m a one-year-old, 65-pound Poodle mix with a sweet, affectionate personality and a serious love for my people. I’m happiest right by your side, whether we’re cuddling on the couch, hanging out around the house, or heading outside for a walk.

I’m a friendly, easygoing guy who gets along great with other dogs and would love a canine buddy, although one isn’t required. I’ve also done well around cats. I may be a little unsure of them at first, but I’m mostly curious and interested in getting to know them. I’m friendly with new people, too, and once I love you, I tend to bond pretty closely. I haven’t been around kids enough for my foster family to know how I’d do with them.

I have a nice balance of playful energy and couch-potato tendencies. A couple of walks each day, some time to explore, and plenty of time with my family make me a happy guy. I’m crate trained and comfortable relaxing in my crate when needed. Because I’m very people-oriented and can struggle when left alone for long periods, I’m looking for a home where I won’t routinely be alone for more than about four hours at a time.

I’m still young and learning! I know “sit,” and I’m continuing to work on leash manners since I can be a puller. I’m also working toward being fully potty trained and currently need consistent potty breaks about every four hours when I’m out of my crate. A family willing to keep me on a routine and continue reinforcing my training will help me become the very best boy I can be.

My forever home does not need a fenced yard as long as I receive consistent walks and outdoor time. Another friendly dog would be a great bonus, but most importantly, I need a family that understands how much I love companionship and is ready to continue working with me on potty training, leash manners, and basic obedience.
