Hi, I’m Stassi! I’m a one-year-old, 35-pound doodle mix with a heart full of love, a goofy personality, and a tail that rarely stops wagging. I’m pretty laid-back for a young pup, but every now and then I burst into zoomies that could rival a rocket launch before settling in for the sweetest snuggle session you’ve ever had.

I love entertaining myself with toys, but playing tug-of-war and wrestling with my foster brother is even better. I also have a funny little habit of collecting socks and shoes and carrying them to my bed like treasured prizes. Don’t worry—I never chew them! My foster mom says I have magical unicorn powers because I can make her laugh one minute and completely melt her heart the next.

I started life as an outdoor dog in the Rio Grande Valley, so having a soft bed, toys of my own, and people who love me feels like a dream come true. My favorite things are walks, backyard playtime, chasing water, chewing on bones, and curling up with my foster mom with my head in her lap. Food is definitely my love language, so treats make learning lots of fun!

I’m doing a great job learning my manners. I know “sit” and “leave it,” I’m working on “stay,” and I’m learning to ring a bell when I need to go outside. I sleep through the night in my crate without any accidents and am making great progress with potty training. Sometimes I get so excited about treats that I forget to take them gently, but I’m practicing every day.

When we go for walks, I’m much more interested in watching people and other dogs than barking at them. I’m a curious, happy girl who simply likes to take it all in.
