St. Andrews‘s Story

Hi there! My name is Saint Andrews, but my foster family calls me “Stanley” or “Stan the Man” — and I kind of like that. I’m a one-year-old Cockapoo mix with a soft, curly coat and a heart that’s learning to be brave. I weigh just 17 pounds, which makes me the perfect size for lap snuggles — my favorite place to be. I’m a gentle soul who prefers the quiet comfort of your company. I may be shy at first, but once I feel safe, I’ll happily follow you from room to room and curl up beside you for a cozy nap.

I love the outdoors and sometimes get a little burst of joy that sends me leaping and zooming across the yard! I’m discovering how wonderful this “good life” really is — warm beds, kind people, and tasty treats. I spend my days lounging near my humans and sleep quietly in my crate at night. I’m getting the hang of leash walks and house training, and I’ve learned that going outside regularly keeps everyone happy (including me). I’m still working on entering my crate during the day, but I’m a night-time crate champ.

I adore other dogs and get super excited to be around them, though I’m still learning to give them space when they need it. People still make me a little nervous, but I’m slowly learning that kind hands and soft voices mean good things. I’ve come such a long way already — all I need now is a patient, loving home to help me grow into the happy, confident pup I’m meant to be.

- Work From Home Parent (gets attached)
