Smokey is a 8-month-old (DOB 5/17/23) Male Sheepadoodle and weighs 36lbs.

I am such a sweet boy. I am a little slow to warm up to new people, but it helps when they sit on the floor with treats! Once I trust you, we will be great friends. I love to put my head in my foster mom’s lap while she rubs my ears and neck. I like to snuggle and stay close to my person. I am not anxious when she leaves, but I prefer to have her in my sight as much as possible. I love to go on walks and to public places where people tell me I have an adorable face. I am a fantastic rider in the car.

I wake up excited to go straight outside because I’m so happy for the new day. After I potty, I am hungry for breakfast. Then I like to play outside a little more before my morning nap. I lay next to my foster mom while she works. Lunch never seems to come soon enough. My favorite way to spend the afternoon is wrestling toys and with the dog who lives in the house. We run circles around the backyard and I like to leap off the bottom of the stairs. After dinner I snuggle and watch tv before bed.

I’m still working on potty training. I pee outside almost all the time, but occasionally I have accidentally #2’d on the floor inside, but very infrequently. My foster mom doesn’t let me out of her sight a whole bunch, but I am good with checking in too. I’m not a fan of going into the crate, but I am making real progress and have actually began sleeping in it at night with a treat for motivation. I also love sleeping in the bed when I am allowed too. You will love my snuggles.

We’ve had a few gatherings at our house for the holidays and I warmed up to everyone and did fantastic. Everyone that meets me falls in love with me.
