Sherman‘s Story

Sherman put the FOXY in Wire Hair Fox Terrier. He is a laid back old soul believed to be around 5 years old. If you’re looking for someone to lay around and snuggle with, he’s your guy. He gets a little anxious when crated, so a home where that is not required is ideal (which shouldn’t be an issue because he doesn’t need it!) He has been used to a doggie door his whole life so to avoid re-potty-training and the frustration of accidents in the house, a house where he will have access to a doggie door is a must. This little crowd-pleaser knows the commands: sit, shake, down, AND high-five! What a smarty! Sherman has been around kids, dogs, and cats of all ages and sizes and loves them all. His elegance is magnified on walks as he prances and proudly struts through the neighborhood on his walks. He’s a great co-pilot in the car and is ready to accompany you on all of your adventures. Sherman came to Doodle Rock Rescue Heartworm Positive but has since been treated and has recovered beautifully. Heartworms are non-contagious worms caused by the bite of an infected mosquito. Monthly heartworm preventative is very important to the health of our pups here in the South. Sherman’s HW status will be retested to confirm his full recovery.

Sherman is fully vaccinated, HW+ (received treatment), sterilized and microchipped.
