Scout‘s Story

Scout is a playful, energetic, sweet boy! He is around 8 months old and weighs 9 lbs. Scout is crate trained, but still working on potty training. If taken out regularly, he has no accidents in the house. He is very gentle and loving with my young children (2 and 5). We fostered Lulu at the same time and they play great together! He may be a little too rambunctious for an older dog to be around. He enjoys running around the back yard chasing and barking at squirrels, and playing fetch. He also loves to cuddle up on the couch for belly rubs and ear scratches. We are working on basic commands, and he is catching on pretty quickly. He gets very excited on walks and pulls on the leash some, but is getting better each time! Affection gets him just as excited as treats! This little guy has had knee surgery and still needs to take life a little slowly until fully healed. He will need to return to Mazie's Mission at 4 weeks and 8 weeks post-op for x-rays, these visits are covered by DRR. He is such a smart and good boy, and it has been a joy to have him in our home! He will make a great addition to your family!
