Hi, my name is Ruby and I am a female 6 month old Poodle who weighing around 30 pounds, but still growing.

I may be smaller in stature but I am a tough and bossy little lady. I love my foster brothers and even though they are older & bigger I still like to push them around and act like I am in charge. I am a puppy so all that goes along with my age (chewing, teething, zoomies, learning boundaries, barking, etc). I am a bit of a wild child that loves zoomies and playing hard with my foster brothers but need work on getting better at taking cues when I am going too hard with them. I am also independent but snuggles are nice too. My foster moms tell me that I am very smart and learn things like tricks quickly like sit, come, drop, stop, etc. I am also doing better on potty training (treats are helpful - as I am very food motivated). I like for my human to be close by so I will follow you around but just to be sure you are still near. I can be a bit of a handful so need a family experienced with dogs that can continue to work on training and not get too overwhelmed when I get wild. Because chewing is my thing a good chewey bone can keep me entertained for a while.

I get up with you currently around 7:30 and then I am ready to get going for the day, after doing my business it’s time for breakfast and then back out before me and my foster brothers settle into some play and naps near my foster mom while she works with potty breaks throughout the day. I am a good guard dog barking at doorbells and passer bys or when I am not getting enough attention. Dinner is at 5:00 and then back out for some running/play time. Evening zoomies are real and it can take me some time to wind down. Bed is around 11 and I now get to sleep with my foster mom. I was in the crate but now I bark & cry but will settle in and do well sleeping with my foster brothers at night.

I am working on playing too rough, barking, and potty training, but doing well and sometimes go for days without an accident as long as I can get out throughout the day.

- Patience for Training
