Hi! My name is Rosie May. I'm a 2-year-old female standard poodle who's 50lbs of pure sweetness. I'm a little timid at first and tend to favor one person in the family but with patience, I'll warm up to everyone and share lots of love and cuddles.
I enjoy daily walks, LOVE chasing squirrels and roaming around the backyard staring up at the trees. I would love a big backyard with lots of trees (and squirrels!). I'm very well behaved and calm around children. I can't wait to share all my love with my forever family. I really like being close to my humans and enjoying napping in my dog bed, but if you let me I will cuddle with you on the sofa and in bed.
I get up and go outside first thing in the morning usually between 6am and 9am, depending on the day. I'm potty trained and have never had a accident inside. My foster parents have had no need to crate me because I usually nap when they're working or have to leave the house. I get nervous when people leave and will do well with a family where someone is WFH. I don' like being alone so a home where there are other fur siblings to keep me company will be best.
I'm working on my leash manners, like not pulling when I see something interesting. Sometimes I give a "hello" bark to other dogs or people. I'm learning to play with toys and play with my foster siblings. I'm getting better at it every day. I tend to be curious about what's on the kitchen counter or in the trash, but I respond well to my name, so just call me over and I will come to you.
