Rachel‘s Story

❤️Rachel is Available❤️

Please READ the bio and adoption requirements first to make sure you are a perfect fit BEFORE APPLYING.

I'm Rachel, a charming apricot-colored female poodle at the tender age of 3, weighing 50 lbs. My curly, non-shedding hair adds to my allure. Once we become acquainted, I transform into your devoted and constant friend. Known for my calm demeanor, I enjoy lounging on the couch or floor, always seeking proximity to you. The outdoors beckon me, and I relish long walks, reveling in the multitude of intriguing scents and sights.

Toys have recently captivated my interest, providing endless amusement as I toss them around and engage in delightful chewing sessions. Described by my foster mom as the epitome of patience and sweetness, I've earned the title of the biggest lapdog ever. I'm an attentive listener, eager to please and assure you of my readiness to bask in all the attention you offer. During walks, I'm on high alert for the fascinating creatures—squirrels and birds—that cross our path.

My day begins around 6:30 am when I rise with my foster parents. A dose of ear scratches and snuggles helps me wake up before heading outside for my morning routine. While I'm not a voracious eater or drinker, my food is available throughout the day. The hours pass in a leisurely manner, observing my foster mom at work. During breaks, we engage in play and work on commands. Dinner arrives at 6:30 pm, followed by a substantial walk or playtime in the yard. I indulge in more lounging before a brief evening walk to attend to my needs. Nights find me comfortably sleeping in a crate in my foster parent's room.

I've mastered commands like sit, down, no, and out, although I'm still refining my behavior when excitement kicks in. Communicating my need to go out is a skill I've acquired, favoring quick walks for this purpose. While my foster Dad is cool, I tend to form a strong bond with one person—currently, my foster Mom. Adapting to changes takes time and patience, given a few upheavals in my life. I enjoy attention from others but, if you're my chosen human, expect me to shadow you and relish being close at all times.
