Hi there! I’m Porter—a 9-month-old, 40+ lb standard poodle with a head full of curls and a heart that’s equal parts sweet and silly. My foster mom calls me “Good Boy,” “Porter No Sir,” and sometimes “Porter-what-are-you-doing?”—but if you’ve got a treat in your hand, I’ll answer to just about anything. I’m playful, curious, and full of energy. Whether I’m chasing my foster brother through the yard, sneaking off with a sock, or zooming around the house like it’s my personal racetrack, I’m always on the move and looking for fun.

I’d absolutely love a home with another playful dog who enjoys a good wrestle and doesn't mind sharing toys. A fenced-in yard is my dream—I’ve got a lot of energy to burn and love having space to romp safely. I’m still mastering leash walking (ok, I’m still kinda clueless about it), so apartment life just isn’t my style. I do best with structure, patience, and a family that’s home more often than not—someone with a flexible schedule or who works from home would be perfect for me.

I’m smart and food-motivated, which means I’m catching on to training quickly—but I’m still a puppy, so you’ll need a little patience while I figure out the dos and don’ts. I’m crate trained at night and getting the hang of house rules, even if I occasionally pretend I didn’t hear “no” when there’s a blanket that looks especially chewable. I do great with older kids, but little ones under 7 might not appreciate my enthusiastic energy and treat-snatching skills just yet.

I’m goofy, loving, and full of potential. If you’re an active family ready to laugh, train, and love a bouncy poodle who keeps life interesting—then I just might be your guy. All I need is a second chance and a forever home to call my own.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Another playful dog in the home (preferred)
- No children under age 7
- Active lifestyle
- Home with a fenced yard (no apartments)
- Someone home often or with a flexible schedule
- Willingness to continue training with patience
