Hey ya'll my name is Pilot (but my foster calls me Doug). I'm a 2 year old Male Shitz Zu mix and weigh about 20 lbs.

My Foster Family says I am the best companion ever. I'm not a cuddler but I will follow you anywhere and everywhere. I love to be near my people, especially my Foster Dad. I will play with my toys and play fetch but prefer to just hang out or take walks. I don't like fast movements near my face or near my food. The quirkiest thing about me is that I growl when I want to play or want you to share your food. It is not a mean sound, I just want you to know I'm here for fun. I love people, attention, belly rubs, car rides, and positive reinforcement. My humans trust me when they leave the house and do not crate me. I am proud to say I have never caused any damage or had an accident when I have had to stay by myself.

I get up as soon as my Foster Dad gets up because he is the bomb. I go outside in the morning and then get a quick walk to finish up. I eat breakfast then just hang out with a chewy if Mom and Dad have to go to work or lay at their feet if they work from home. I love being outside and surveying my kingdom. Dinner is around 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. My humans go to bed between 9 pm - 10 pm. I sleep through the night at the end of their bed.

My humans have taken me to dog parks where I have hung out with both large and small dogs. I prefer to greet all the humans and hang out with them than play with the dogs. I am learning that I can co-exist and don't have to participate if I don't feel like it. I love people and am working on not being so frightened of hands to my face. My humans make sure they tell others to be gentle and let me get to know them.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Love being the only dog but think a dog sibling 2 yrs+ with similar energy level would be ok
- No children under age 8
- Active Family
- Calm Household
- No Apartments or shared walls
- Fenced in Yard
- Flexible Schedule
- Patience for Training
