Hello good people, my name is Pepper Jack, but my friends call me Captain Jack Sparrow. I’m a poodle mix, under a year old, and I may only weigh about 4 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you—I’m packed full of puppy energy, confidence, and just the right amount of mischief.

I’m still learning the ropes of being a well-mannered little gentleman, which means you’ll want to keep a close eye on me. I love long walks, being outside, and playing games like fetch… or my personal favorite, “keep-away,” especially if I find something exciting on the ground and decide it belongs to me. I don’t really chew on dog bones like I’m supposed to—I prefer to hide them like buried treasure for later.

I’ve already figured out how to ring the bells on the door when I want to go out, but sometimes I sit quietly by the door and hope you’ll notice my polite little stare. I’m not really a calm lap dog type. I’m feisty, curious, and always ready for action. My foster mom says I need naps and sometimes puts me in a playpen for “quiet time,” but between us… I’m usually plotting my next adventure instead.

I love people and I love dogs, and I’ll play with anyone no matter their size. Big dogs don’t scare me one bit—I’m small, but I’ve got a big personality. Mornings start early around here, and after a quick potty break at about 5 a.m., I get tucked into bed with my foster mom where I’m actually very sweet and quiet. I go back to sleep and wake her up around 7 a.m. with kisses, because I like starting the day by reminding everyone how adorable I am.

Once we’re up, it’s game on. I eat breakfast, and the second I hear the magical word “outside,” I’m ready to hit the road. I love being with my people and staying close throughout the day, even tagging along for errands sometimes. I’ll chew on toys for a bit, take a few “naps,” and head outside plenty of times because I’m still working hard on potty training. I’m really close, I just need someone patient who understands I’m still a baby learning the rules.

You’ll also hear a lot of “no bite” around me, because I’m still in that playful puppy stage where my mouth is always part of the conversation. I’m learning, slowly but surely. I may not sit nicely for treats yet, but I will proudly stand on my hind legs like a little circus performer, and honestly, I think that should count for something.

If you’re looking for a tiny sidekick with a big heart, endless energy, and a whole lot of personality, I might just be your guy. I promise life with me will never be boring.
