Hi, I’m Penny! I’m a 5-year-old female poodle, and I weigh 44 lbs.

I’m the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! I love being close to my people and will gently lean in for extra snuggles. I’m not demanding, though—I'm perfectly content to just hang out nearby, whether you're working, watching TV, or relaxing. I have great manners, too! I’m potty-trained, never need to be crated, and I’ll happily lay beside you in my own bed at night. I’m a free eater, so I snack whenever I’m hungry without overdoing it. Oh, and I’m pretty smart—I know commands like sit, down, stay, and leave it, and I even love to play fetch!

I’m a calm and chill pup who loves a relaxed, go-with-the-flow lifestyle. I like to start my day with a little sniffing around the yard and take my time enjoying the outdoors as long as you’re with me. I’m happiest when I can lounge around and watch what’s happening around the house. In the evenings, I’m a certified snuggle pro, curling up on the couch to keep you company. My foster mom says I have a calming presence, and I think she’s right!

I’m recovering beautifully from surgery on a torn CCL and feeling better every day. I’m also getting treatment for heartworms and doing great. I’m working on leash training, though I still get excited when other dogs walk by. I also like to chat a bit with folks passing by our fence and bark at animals on TV—hey, I just like to stay involved!
