Hi I'm Nia! I'm a female 7-month-old poodle mix and weigh about 10 lbs. I’ll stay pretty small and luckily I don’t shed, but I’d like to get brushed to keep me looking fabulous!

I'm pretty shy and tense up when people try to pick me up, so my forever family must be patient to let me acclimate. Once I’m comfortable, I’ll take all the snuggles and love you’ll give me - especially in your lap. I love socks, but don’t chew on them, I just like to show them off. I can be playful, yet super chill and just lounge with my human foster siblings. I do great with other dogs who are playful as long as they don’t have a dominant personality. I wouldn’t mind being the only fur baby either though - the more attention the better!

My daily schedule is pretty chill just like me unless I want to go play outside with my foster siblings. I know how to use a doggie door so I use it when I want to explore outside - I love that thing. At night, I’m definitely the snuggle type in bed with you if allowed. If not, that’s okay I can settle for a dog bed as long as it’s close to my humans.

I'm working on my basic commands, and I'm a little rusty with walking on a leash. Once we get going I start understanding that I'm supposed to walk and not sit and stare at my hooman. Since sudden movements towards me can make me timid, I’d do best with a family with no younger children. They must be gentle and allow me to come to them first until I’m comfortable. I don’t need a crate and I’m potty trained!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- No children under age 6, I'm timid and need gentle hands
- Family to take me on doggy play dates to get my socializing in
