Hi, I’m Nellie, a 38 pound bundle of goofy energy, soft snuggles, and just enough mischief to keep life exciting. I’m a young girl with a big heart, and I wake up every day ready to play, explore, and love my people with my whole self. I believe every person I meet wants a hug, which is why I do best in a home with kids 5 or older who understand my happy enthusiasm.

I’m a true Velcro dog. If you stand up, I’m up. If you walk to another room, I’m right behind you. I love being close, soaking up belly rubs, and melting into a lap whenever possible. I also have plenty of zoomies to burn, so I’m happiest in a young, active household that enjoys staying busy, getting outside, and making room for a dog who wants to be part of everything. A fenced yard is a must for me because running, playing, and getting my wiggles out is one of my favorite things.

My days are a mix of movement and major relaxation. Mornings start with breakfast, a potty break, and either a walk or backyard playtime. Once I’ve had some fun, I crash hard. Being this cute takes effort. I spend my afternoons as your loyal shadow, then end the day with dinner, more yard time, and all the cuddles I can collect. On weekends, I’m always ready for car rides, outings, and tagging along on whatever adventure you’ve got planned.

I’m still learning polite leash manners because the world is exciting and I sometimes forget not to pull. I’m also working on basic commands, and treats and praise go a long way with me. Since I’m still very much in my young dog era, I’ll thrive with someone patient who enjoys training and staying engaged. I would love another dog sibling to play with, though it is not required, and I do best with a flexible schedule since long stretches alone are not my favorite.

- Children 5 or older preferred (I tend to not know how big I am)
- Active family
- Flexible Schedule
- Patience while I continue my training, as I’m more puppy than adult
