Well hi there! My name is Minnie, and I’m a 1.5-year-old poodle mix. I’m about 40 pounds, but honestly, it’s a little rude that they even included that. Never ask a lady her weight.

I am, quite simply, a lover. Loving you, being loved by you, sitting near you while you love me…these are all very important parts of my daily schedule. And cuddling? Cuddling is my specialty. I’m not obnoxious about it—I’m actually a pretty calm, easygoing girl. I just happen to believe life is better when everyone is snuggled together.

I sleep peacefully in my crate all night and don’t make a peep. When foster dad gets up, I head outside to take care of business and then have breakfast. After that, my foster brother and I begin our very demanding workday: wrestling, tug-of-war, nap, more wrestling, another nap. We take our responsibilities seriously.

I absolutely adore my foster brother. He’s calm and sweet, and we have the best time together. If you have a friendly dog who would enjoy a lovable little sister, I’d be thrilled. But if you want me all to yourself? I can work with that arrangement too. More cuddles for Minnie.

After the humans finish whatever mysterious things they do all day, we go outside again and then settle in for my favorite kind of evening: relaxing on the couch, eating dinner, being loved on, and eventually heading to bed. I’m really not asking for much here.

Now, I should probably disclose one tiny character flaw. Sometimes I’m so genuinely happy to be alive that I forget people expect me to listen. You might call my name or snap your fingers while I’m busy with a toy, and I’ll be completely unaware that this meeting involves me. I’m not trying to ignore you. I’m just…preoccupied. Possibly with a toy. Possibly with my foster brother. Possibly with absolutely nothing.

I’m still young and learning, and a little patience and consistency will help me polish up my listening skills. But loving? I need absolutely no training there.

I’m a happy, gentle, affectionate girl with a whole lot of love to give. I’m just looking for someone who wants to be loved by me for the rest of my life. And preferably someone with a comfortable couch.
