Here’s Maverick’s bio polished into the same sweet, funny, first-person style, while keeping all the useful puppy details:

Hi! I’m Maverick Solano, but you can call me Maverick or Mav. I’m a 5-month-old, 15-pound mini Goldendoodle, professional floof ball, and firm believer that strangers are just friends who haven’t rubbed my belly yet.

I LOVE people and I LOVE to play. I wake up around 7 a.m. ready to tackle my very important morning agenda: potty, playtime, breakfast. Preferably in that order, although I’m open to moving breakfast up.

At night, I sleep peacefully in my crate all the way until morning. I’m also doing amazingly well with potty training! I go outside about every two hours during the day and can hold it overnight. I’ve even learned to jingle the bells by the back door when nature calls. My foster mom thinks I’m the smartest dog ever, and I see absolutely no reason to correct her.

I already know “sit,” “down,” and “come,” and I’m working on my leash manners. I really enjoy walks and have figured out that when my human stops, sitting down is usually a pretty good idea. Did I mention I’m smart?

Now, I am still a puppy, so occasionally my excitement gets ahead of my manners. When I’m really wound up and playing, I can get a little nippy. I’m learning that humans prefer we keep our teeth to ourselves, and thankfully I redirect pretty easily. There’s just so much playing to do and sometimes I temporarily lose my mind about it.

I haven’t lived with kids, but I’ve met plenty of them on my walks and have made an important discovery: kids give excellent belly rubs. So far, I’m a fan.

And then there’s my hair. I am approximately 50% dog and 50% floof. When my coat is long, I need daily brushing to keep me handsome and tangle-free. I’m even learning that being combed is actually pretty relaxing. Best of all, I don’t shed, so I mostly keep my floof to myself.

I’m a happy, playful, affectionate little guy who’s eager to learn and even more eager to love. I’m looking for a family who will keep teaching me all the important things, take me on adventures, play with me, and appreciate my impressive intelligence.

And belly rubs. Please don’t forget those.
