Kuma‘s Story
Meet Kuma! He is a 5-month-old, 26 pound Labradoodle. Read what he has to say about himself...
Hi my name is Kuma. My name means bear in Japanese which seems fitting since my foster family tells me that I remind them of a funny. cute. fluffy little cub! My foster Mom thinks I am the closest thing to perfect, she may be a little biased but I don’t mind. I love everyone in my foster home which includes little people, big people, another doodle like me and these two funny things called cats. I really love being friends with everyone but the cats keep forgetting to put away their claws when I try to snuggle with them, so I gave up on that venture.
I took a two week adventure with my foster family and we visited so many states. I did really really good in the car. The trick is skipping breakfast and having a nice lap to curl up on with arms to hold me to make me feel safe or a fur friend to snuggle with. I think my favorite place was the beach in northern California. I had so much fun digging in the rocky beach trying to find the San Andreas fault line, unfortunately my foster family didn’t let met dig long enough to find it but I gave it my best shot! We made a stop at a reservoir too where I had a chance to romp around and splash in the water.
My potty training is coming along. I sit in front of the back door when I need to go out and I’m trying to remember that I need to ring the bell on the door so my humans can know that they need to open it for me. Since we have been back from our adventure I haven’t had any accidents (knock on wood!). I love playing with my toys but sometimes I love things that smell like my foster family so much more! This brings us to my dirty laundry infatuation. If I can find it I can’t help but to bring it out to the family room to play with it, I’m learning to curve this habit, but as with any habit it can be hard to break.
I am a laid back pup who loves his sleep. I was sleeping in my kennel at night and I am great in there if I can be beside my humans bed where I know I can see them anytime I need to be reassured. My foster mom has fallen asleep while snuggling with me on an occasion or two or more but I can proudly report I was a perfect angel all night long while out of my kennel. I have not been left alone in my kennel during the day because there are so many family members here someone is always home.
I hope I can find a forever family that has fur siblings for me because I really love playing with my foster fur sibling and if she would let me I would snuggle with her or on her all the time! My foster family thinks as far as puppies go I am so super easy and well behaved! If you are looking for the happiest sweetest fluff ball look no further because you have found me!
