Hi, I’m Maridoe, but my friends call me Doezy! I’m a one-year-old Doodle mix, a little over 27 pounds, and I’m still growing into my paws. My life didn’t start out very easy—I was rescued along with my brothers and sisters from a hoarding situation—but you’d never know it by the way I love life now. Every day is a new adventure, and I’m making up for lost time with plenty of tail wags, happy zoomies, and cuddles. When I get really excited, my whole body wiggles right along with my tail!

My mornings usually start around 6:30 with a potty break, followed by breakfast after I’ve burned off some energy playing with my foster family and my dog cousins. I absolutely love being outside, especially lounging in the sunshine—a simple pleasure I never got to enjoy before. During the day, you’ll usually find me carrying around a toy, playing with my furry friends, or taking an afternoon nap to recharge.

And speaking of family, I absolutely LOVE my human foster siblings! They’re such a special part of my world, and I would be thrilled to have human siblings of my very own in my forever home. I love being included in the fun, getting attention, and having little humans to grow up alongside. I think having kids in my forever family would make my heart very happy.

After dinner, I wind down with one last potty break before heading to my crate around 10 p.m. I sleep there like a good girl, but if I had my way, I’d be snuggled up beside you soaking up all the bedtime cuddles.

Since I’m still a puppy, I sometimes mistake things like shoes or remote controls for my own personal toys if they’re left within reach. I hope you’ll forgive me once you see my sweet, soulful eyes. I’m also still working on potty training, and while I’ve made wonderful progress, I occasionally have an accident. I’m a smart girl who learns quickly and already know a few basic commands. I’m practicing my leash manners too, and my foster dad says I have all the makings of a fantastic running buddy.

I’m still young, still learning, and still figuring out exactly how wonderful life can be. All I need is a patient family willing to keep teaching me, love me unconditionally, include me in their adventures, and let me grow into the loyal, playful, cuddly best friend I’ve always wanted to be.
