Hi! I’m Marge, a 2-year-old poodle mix with a big personality, a playful puppy spirit, and some serious FOMO. If you’re doing something, I’d really prefer to be included! I love following my foster mom from room to room just to make sure I’m not missing anything important. She has one strange rule about not letting me join her in the shower, so I patiently lie against the shower door and wait for her to come back out. I’m devoted like that.

My perfect day starts around 6 a.m. I head straight outside to potty and conduct my very important morning inspection for unauthorized bunnies and squirrels. Then it’s breakfast followed by PLAYTIME! I love toys, running down the hallway, getting the zoomies, and “wrastling” with my foster siblings. I’d love a playful dog sibling in my forever home, but there’s one important thing to know: sometimes my puppy brain has a hard time telling the difference between a really small dog and one of my toys! Because I can get pretty enthusiastic when I play, any dog siblings in my new home should be over 20 pounds so everyone can play safely and have fun.

When my foster mom starts work, I head to the office too. My responsibilities include watching for delivery drivers, supervising the neighborhood through the window, and napping under the desk. At lunchtime, we head outside to run and play, and afterward I’m usually ready for an afternoon snooze in a sunny spot by the window. After work comes more playing, supper, and—quite often—another case of the zoomies. Then I like to settle in for some TV and neighborhood squirrel surveillance before putting myself to bed in my crate. I sleep soundly all night until it’s time to do it all again.

I’m potty trained and even know to tap on the patio door when I need to go outside. I’m also a good eater, great sleeper, lovely leash walker, and happy car rider. I’ve mastered “sit” and I’m working on “down” and “shake.” I’m especially gentle when taking treats, because I may be enthusiastic about life, but I have manners!

I’m currently finishing up healing from my spay surgery, and my stitches should be dissolved soon. I’m looking for a family who will appreciate my playful energy, sweet nature, curiosity, and desire to be part of whatever you’re doing. If you want a cheerful little shadow, enthusiastic playmate, professional squirrel watcher, and loyal best friend, I might just be your girl.

- Patience for Training
