Hi, I’m Marfa! I’m a 9-week-old girl, most likely a mini Goldendoodle just like my mama. My life may have started under some tough circumstances, but you’d never know it now! I’m a happy, cuddly, playful little girl with a whole lot of personality packed into my tiny body.

My foster family says I’m sweet, a little sassy, and sometimes stubborn, but that just makes me extra lovable! I love wrestling with my brother and mama, playing with soft toys, and spending time with my foster dog siblings. I absolutely adore other dogs and love learning from them. When I’m not busy playing, you can usually find me curled up for an afternoon nap or soaking up some cuddles.

Right now, my days revolve around playing, sleeping, and growing! I spend my days exploring, wrestling with my brother, playing with my foster dog siblings, and squeezing in plenty of naps and cuddles. I’m also making progress toward sleeping through the night in my pen beside my foster parents. Like any young puppy, I thrive on routine and still need lots of attention, patience, and care as I grow!

I’m already making great progress with potty training! I usually do my business as soon as my paws hit the grass, but I still need frequent potty breaks to avoid accidents. I’m also learning words like “no” and “outside.” I haven’t started leash training yet, and while I’m comfortable in a crate and playpen, I’ve always had my brother or mama nearby. Being alone is still very new to me, and I can get upset when I can’t see my family or have someone close by. I’ll need a patient family who can help me gradually build confidence and learn that being alone for short periods is okay.

I do have a couple of minor health issues that my future family will need to monitor, but they haven’t slowed me down! My rescue team can share more details.

My perfect home would have another playful, gentle dog to keep me company and help show me the ropes, although it’s not required. Since I’ve never been alone, I’ll need a patient family who can help me gradually build confidence and become comfortable spending time on my own. I’d do best with someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule to accommodate frequent potty breaks, puppy training, and socialization. I’m good with children, but because I’m so tiny, they’ll need to be gentle and supervised around me. I haven’t met any cats yet.

I’m still learning about this big world, but I have so much love to give! If you’re ready for puppy kisses, a little sass, plenty of playtime, and a lifetime of cuddles, I might just be your perfect little Marfa!
