Maggie‘s Story

My name is Maggie!! My foster family calls me Maggie Mae, but I answer to both and know my name very well!! They say I’m a 5 1/2 year old Schnoodle but let’s be honest? If Doodlerock had a calendar, I think I would be a good candidate for the cover model!! I’m gorgeous and adorable at the same time. I have the best manners with my family. I sit, I stay, i snuggle, I love my morning and afternoon walks, I am potty trained, l sleep all night (this foster family loves me so much, they let me sleep at their feet on the bed!!), I love the car and I love to play!! But I really LOVE sunbathing!! I know, even in the Texas summer!! I also am a master at the “sploot”. Do you know what that is?? It when I lay down on my belly with my arms and legs out!! Trust me, it’s adorable!!! I do have a few not so great habits but I am really working hard to break them. I really am not comfortable with other furry friends. (I need to go to an animal free home and a home with other kids). When I’m on a walk, my fosters have me sit when I see another animal but it’s so hard to contain myself and I bark and lunge after them. I know I can get better at this, but I’m going to need some very consistent training. I also do this when someone new comes in my house. I like to bark and run to them. I’m just trying to protect my family but I’m learning that they don’t need protection!! I warm up to people real fast once I know they are friendly!! Again, I’ll need some patience with working on this too. Enough about me! How about you? Do you want a super loving and sweet dog, but are willing to help me work on my social skills?? I am such a sweetie and a snuggler!! You’re gonna love me!!
