Bonjour! I’m Madame Adelaide but you can call me Addie Girl, like my foster mom does. I’m a dazzling 2-year-old, 45-pound brown and white Adoradoodle (that’s right adorable + doodle!) with a heart as fluffy as my coat.
Life didn’t start off easy for me, but I’ve discovered the magic of love, comfort, and belly rubs and let me tell you, I’m all in. Every day I’m learning what it means to be part of a family, and I’m bursting with excitement to find my forever home where I can shower you with all the love I’ve been saving up. Snuggling on the couch? Yes, please! I love being close to my people and soaking up all the attention I can get. Now that my playful side has come out, toys and chew bones are my jam. I even carry them outside for playtime. My zoomies are epic, and my foster mom says I’m absolutely hilarious when I run around the yard like a goofball.
I can be a little shy with new things and loud noises, and I may let out a big, boisterous bark when I’m feeling unsure but once I know I’m safe, I blossom into the most loyal cuddle bug. I also have a bit of a mischievous streak, I’ve been known to counter surf, not just for food, but for fun things like towels or clothes. I love grabbing them and zooming outside for a quick game of chase! But don’t worry with time, consistency, and gentle reminders, I’m getting better about it. I’m not a fan of crates, but I’m a good girl when left out. When my foster mom is away, I keep myself entertained playing or napping with my foster siblings. I’m completely potty trained and use the doggy door like a pro.
Food? Yes, please! I eat twice a day and wait patiently for mealtime. I spend my days playing, napping, and being the sweetest shadow, you’ll ever have. I’ve become more flexible with my routine and now adjust easily to my foster mom’s schedule. Car rides used to scare me, but now I know they lead to parks and fun and I love them! At night, I sleep on the big bed and promise not to hog the covers. With my affectionate nature, playful energy, hypoallergenic coat, and gentle soul, I’m truly the full package. Whether it’s outdoor adventures or cozy nights on the couch, I’ll be right by your side.
Grooming is super important for me since my coat can get matted easily, which was really painful in the past. Now that I’m regularly brushed and groomed, I actually love being petted! I’m still learning to walk on a leash. I get really excited at first and might pull, especially if I spot something interesting but I’m a smart cookie and improving every day.
If you’re looking for a companion who’s equal parts loving, goofy, and loyal, I might just be your perfect match. My foster mom says that whoever brings me home is going to be one lucky human. And honestly? I think she’s absolutely right.
