Hi there, I’m Lumi! I’m a 1-year-old, 45-pound poodle mix with dreamy eyelashes, a heart full of love, and a soft spirit that’s just waiting to shine. My name means “light,” and once I trust you, I’ll glow with joy every time you walk into the room. I’m gentle, affectionate, and happiest when I’m near my person—especially if you work from home and have a calm, peaceful vibe.

I’m still learning the ropes of the big world, so I’ll need a patient, dog-savvy female adopter who can go slow and give me space to settle in. I do my best when I have a confident dog sibling who doesn’t mind sharing toys and can help show me how to be brave. I love having a routine and a cozy spot to decompress—and with a fenced yard, I can safely explore and play at my own pace.

My foster says I have the sweetest morning zoomies around 6:30 AM, followed by a potty break, a walk, and then some well-earned rest. I’m potty trained, but I don’t always know how to ask to go out, so I’d love someone who keeps an eye on the clock. Evenings are for couch snuggles and winding down with my pack. I’ve even started enjoying car rides—especially when puppuccinos are involved!

I do best in a home without shared walls, since I sometimes let out a little howl when I’m feeling unsure or missing you. I’m still working on leash confidence and get spooked by sudden noises or fast movements, but I’m trying so hard to be brave. Slippery floors? Still figuring those out, too! But if you can offer me patience, consistency, and love, I’ll reward you with loyalty, softness, and the kind of bond that only comes from earning a shy girl’s trust.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a friendly dog sibling who shares toys
- No apartments (she may howl when feeling lonely)
- Fenced-in yard required
- Works from home or has a flexible schedule
- Patience to support continued training and building trust
- Must be able to lift a 50-pound dog, as she is still learning to walk on a leash
- Commitment to a special diet
