Hi, I’m Laddy! I’m a one-year-old male Adoradoodle weighing about 45 pounds, with handsome salt-and-pepper curls and bright amber eyes. My foster mom says I’m the total package—smart, playful, goofy, and incredibly sweet. I learned my basic commands in just a week, I sleep quietly in my crate all night, and I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my people.
I’m still a young guy, so I have plenty of puppy energy, but I also know how to settle down and relax. One minute I’m chasing a soccer ball, playing fetch, or zooming around the yard, and the next I’m happily chewing on a bone or curled up nearby while you go about your day. I love playing with other dogs, cooling off with the hose on warm days, and following my family around just to see what everyone is up to. My foster family says I’m energetic and calm all at the same time, and I think that describes me perfectly. I even figured out how to open a few doors around the house, much to everyone’s surprise!
Kids are some of my favorite people in the whole world. I adore my foster brothers and all of their friends, and I’m always ready for a game of soccer or a backyard adventure. If you have a soccer ball, we’re already best friends! Because I’m still a young, bouncy pup who sometimes forgets just how big I am, I’d do best in a home with older kids who can keep up with my playful spirit. I never mean to, but I could accidentally knock over little ones when I get excited.
I thrive on a routine and enjoy having a schedule. I’m healthy, crate trained, and eager to keep learning. Like any young dog, I’m still figuring a few things out. Sometimes I think socks, shoes, or interesting treasures from the backyard belong in my collection, but I’m learning what’s mine and what isn’t. Keeping plenty of toys around definitely helps!
One thing I’m still working on is building my confidence on neighborhood walks. New people, passing cars, and unfamiliar noises can make me a little nervous, so I’m looking for a family who will be patient and help me learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. I’m already making progress and, with a little encouragement, I know I’ll get there. Oh, and if you see me giving frogs the side-eye, there’s a reason—I had one bad experience, and I’ve decided they’re definitely not my friends!
More than anything, I’m a loyal, loving boy who wants to be part of the family. I’ll happily join you for backyard games, adventures, or a cozy evening at home as long as I’m with my people. If you’re looking for a best friend who will keep you laughing, make you smile every single day, and love you with his whole heart, I just might be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet my forever family.
