Hi, I’m Kairo — a 40-pound poodle with long legs, soft black and white curls, and a heart that just wants to be close to my people. I’m about two years old and still working my way back to a healthy weight, but I’m already feeling so much better and loving life. I’ve never met a stranger, human or dog, and I’m always ready for whatever the day brings. Walks where I can sniff everything, car rides, a good game of fetch with a few zoomies, or just being by your side… that’s my kind of life.

When things slow down, I’m all about the snuggles. I’m a total couch companion and love curling up right next to you. My foster family says I’m pretty entertaining too. I’m all legs and somehow always end up in the funniest sleeping positions. I sleep quietly through the night, get very excited for meals, walk nicely on a harness, and I even enjoy being brushed. I’ll stand perfectly still and soak up the attention while you take care of my curls.

I’m also a very loyal and sensitive boy. I bond deeply with my people and feel safest when I’m close to them. Because of that, being left alone can make me anxious, and I may bark to let you know I’m not a fan of it. I’m looking for a home that truly understands that about me and can help me continue building confidence. I would do best with a work from home parent so I’m not alone for long periods, and having a confident dog sibling is strongly preferred to help me feel secure and show me the ropes. I’m not a good fit for apartment living or homes with shared walls since I can be vocal when I’m unsure or alone. I’ll also need a family who is patient and committed to continued training as I keep learning that I’m safe and my people always come back. And as a poodle, regular grooming is part of my routine to keep me looking and feeling my best.

I’m such a loving, happy, and devoted companion who just wants to be someone’s shadow and best friend. With the right home, I know I’ll absolutely thrive and give you more love than you could ever imagine.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- A confident dog sibling is strongly preferred
- No Apartments or shared walls (I can get a little loud when left alone)
- Work From Home Parent
- Patience for Continued Training
