Hi, my name is Kahlua! I'm a 2.5-year-old female Standard Poodle with the most beautiful coat you’ll ever see! I weigh 36lbs and I don’t shed at all!

I’m extremely sweet and I love to get as many pets as I can including belly rubs. I’m shy at first, and it takes some time before I feel comfortable around people, but once I warm up I won’t leave your side! I love to follow my humans or even lay in a chair where I can see everyone. I'm pretty low energy, but I do enjoy going on walks with my foster parents. I don't mind other dogs, but I’m not super active so I don’t play with them much. If you have kiddos I do great with all ages!

I wake up at 7 a.m. so I can go potty and then I eat breakfast. I like to play with my foster parents for a while in the morning before I settle in for a long day of napping! I get my exercise in the evenings when my foster parents take me for a nice long walk which of course works up my appetite for dinner. At night I sleep on my dog bed or with my foster parents. 

I’m still working on basic commands, but I have excellent manners - I never jump or bark. I’m not a fan of my crate and would rather be left out to roam while you’re gone. I’m potty trained and do best with a schedule and I have great leash skills!

*MEDICAL*
I have ovarian remnant syndrome condition, which is why I haven’t been spayed yet. Don’t worry, it can be easily corrected during my spay surgery in the next six months once I get my next cycle. I will need to be spayed at CHEW Animal Clinic in Dallas when the time comes.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Local adopter needed so that spay can be completed at CHEW once I have my next cycle
- Rescue experience a plus
- Fenced yard
