Please READ the bio and adoption requirements first to make sure you are a perfect fit BEFORE APPLYING.

Hi, my name is Juniper, but most people call me Juni. I’m a one year old female Sheepadoodle weighing about thirty five pounds, and I have a soft heart and a thoughtful, observant nature. I came from a breeder surrender, so many parts of home life are still new to me. I’m learning what it means to feel safe, settled, and understood, and I’m looking for a patient, experienced adopter who knows that trust is something built slowly and gently.

I can be shy and cautious at first, especially in unfamiliar situations, but my anxiety doesn’t always look the same everywhere I go. I tend to have certain people and spaces where I feel more confident, and those preferences can shift as I adjust to a new environment. Sometimes I want to be close but not touched, choosing instead to quietly share space nearby. Other times, once I feel secure, I’ll seek out comfort in my own way. I’m sensitive, but I’m also curious and always watching, learning, and trying to understand the world around me.

One thing that really helps me feel brave is having other dogs around. Friendly, confident dogs are my greatest teachers and my biggest source of comfort. I learn by watching them and following their lead, and with dog friends nearby, my playful side comes out. I enjoy romping, chasing, and joining in on play sessions, especially in the evenings. When I’m relaxed, I can be energetic and silly like any young dog, and I truly shine in a calm backyard with canine companions.

During the day, I’m a quiet presence in the home. I like resting near my people, often curled up close by while they work or relax. I sleep in the bedroom with my foster family and dog siblings and feel most at ease when I’m part of the household routine. I love spending time in the yard, exploring, running, and soaking up the sun, sometimes so much that I forget it’s time to come back inside.

I’m still figuring out things like handling, transitions, and training, and those experiences need to move at my pace. Leashes and busy public spaces are currently very scary for me, so I’m not a dog who’s ready for neighborhood walks or outings. What helps me most is consistency, calm energy, and people who listen to what I’m telling them through my body language. My progress may look different over time, especially as I settle into a new home, and that’s okay.

I may never be a bold, outgoing dog, but I have so much love to give in quieter ways. For the right person, someone who appreciates sensitivity and understands anxiety, I promise to be a loyal, gentle companion who forms deep bonds built on trust.
