Jolene‘s Story
Meet Jolene….she’s a 9 month old Sheepadoodle who is 36 lbs of cuddly, soft greatness! She absolutely loves people and her foster brother who is a 60lb Labradoodle. This girl is the happiest as long as she’s right where you are!! Under your desk at work, sleeping next to your on the sofa or even if it’s in a circle of 5 year old girls playing Barbie, she just wants to be included. Her foster home has 4 kids and she never once took any of their toys or chewed them, she was such a good girl!! She does have one obsession…. don’t leave your SOCKS out!! She will run off with them! She wants you to chase her to get them back!! She loves her walks…if she finds an acorn she will carry it in her mouth the entire walk and drop it when the walk is over. Jolene’s not shy to strangers and she’s very excited to see her foster family after they leave. They have been working with her on separation anxiety but she has gotten so much better. Jolene is VERY attached to her foster Dad! She prefers males but loves her foster Mom and kids just as much. If Foster Dad leaves the house she will whimper for him. She sleeps great at night, we moved her crate into the Master bedroom…. where she could see Foster Dad sleeping…. and she has been sleeping on average 8-9 hours nightly without a peep. She would probably do great without being crated but Foster brother sleeps in our room and when the two of them get together it’s non-stop playing so we have to crate her for rest. Her two favorite things to do are play chase and tug of war (with a sock) with her foster brother.
Did I mention this girl is SMART!! We taught her to fetch a ball and bring it back, sit and shake hands all in one day!! She is eager to learn and please you!
We have been working on her potty training and she’s 90% there! She hasn’t had any accidents in the house in the past week. It’s just been learning her potty habits and being consistent with letting her go outside.
Jolene’s ideal new home would have a dog that loves to play and wrestle just like she does!! A medium to large-sized dog is best because she doesn’t fully understand her size. She does not shed and enjoyed taking a shower when she was asked to do so.
Jolene is a GEM of a dog and would be the perfect dog that will bring SO much love and joy to your family!!
Jolene is fully vaccinated, HW-, sterilized and microchipped.
