Ida‘s Story

❤️Ida is Available❤️

Please READ the bio and adoption requirements first to make sure you are a perfect fit BEFORE APPLYING.

Hi, I’m Ida. I’m the kind of dog who prefers a quiet hello over a big introduction, but once I know you, I’ll be right by your side—soft, steady, and full of quiet affection. I’m about 35 pounds of silky, plush fur (yes, people say I feel like a stuffed animal, and no, I don’t get tired of hearing it). I keep things simple too—my coat is easy to care for, and I’m very polite about grooming.

My days have a gentle rhythm. In the mornings, I like to stretch my legs with a few happy zoomies in the yard—it’s my little burst of joy before settling into a calmer pace. During the day, I’m an excellent companion, especially if you work from home. I’ll quietly relax nearby, just happy to be in your presence. When evening comes, you can usually find me curled up on the couch, leaning in for a cuddle and enjoying the peaceful moments.

I’m still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. New people, busy spaces, and unfamiliar dogs can make me a bit nervous at first, so I like to take things slow and observe before jumping in. But with patience and gentle reassurance, I really do come out of my shell. And when I do, I’m incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving—it just takes me a little time to get there.

I’d do well with someone who understands that confidence is something we build together, step by step. A calm home would suit me best. I might enjoy having a friendly dog companion to help me feel more secure, but I could also be happy as your one special girl if you’re willing to guide me with kindness.

I don’t need much—just a safe place, a steady routine, and someone who sees me for who I am: a gentle heart, learning to be brave, and ready to love deeply once I know I’m home.
