Hi there! I’m Howard, but my friends call me Howie. I’m a striking silver and white poodle mix, about 1 year old and 40 pounds, with a BIG love for life!

My foster mom calls me “Inspector Howie” because I’m always investigating something and love being part of the action. I’m a happy, curious boy who’s always ready for an adventure. I absolutely love squeaky toys, chew bones, and especially fetch. I could play all day if you let me! I also adore other dogs and would love a playful canine companion in my forever home.

Even with all my puppy energy, I have a sweet and snuggly side. After a day of fun, I’m happiest curled up with my people soaking up belly rubs and affection.

I’m potty trained, use the doggy door like a pro, and do great when left alone. I’m smart, food motivated, and working on my leash manners. I had a rough start and was underweight when I arrived in foster care, so I’m still learning that food will always be there. Sometimes I’m tempted to investigate the counters for snacks, but I redirect easily and continue to improve.

Like many young pups, I can get excited and greet people with enthusiastic jumps and happy wiggles. Because I sometimes forget my manners, a home without small children would be the best fit for me. Older kids who understand puppy behavior would be great!

I love car rides, adapt easily to new routines, and at bedtime, I’m happy to curl up at the end of the bed like a perfect little gentleman.
