Hickory‘s Story

Meet Hickory, a lively 7-month-old Male Sheepadoodle weighing in at 45lbs. I'm an energetic pup who thrives on running laps in my yard, engaging with my myriad toys, and expressing my enthusiasm by barking at everyone passing by on my street. One of my favorite pastimes involves extracting each of my foster brother's toys from their basket and enticing him to join in the play. When in the backyard, I relish sunbathing and showcasing my impressive speed on the race track I've fashioned.

My day kicks off when my parents rise at 6:30 am. After a quick outdoor visit for business matters, I indulge in some playtime on the couch while mom readies for the day. Breakfast is served around 8, followed by another outdoor break for some running around. Although I'm crate-trained, I could use a larger crate. Thanks to my impeccable record with no accidents, my foster family permits me and my foster brothers to roam freely in the office when they're away. Most of my day involves a healthy mix of napping and engaging in playful pursuits with my foster brother. Dinner is around 6:30 pm, with a final outdoor excursion at 9:30 pm before settling in for the night.

I excel at outdoor potty breaks when on a schedule, but a little forgetfulness might lead me to use the indoors. I'm diligently learning to signal when nature calls by sitting by the door. Mastering the art of sitting has its perks—I absolutely love receiving treats for a job well done. Slowly but surely, I'm warming up to the idea of my leash and finding joy in our walks together.
