Hi, my name is Henley!  I’m a 4-year-old female Miniature Poodle mix. I weigh only 6 pounds, and shed very little which is great. However I’ll need regular grooming to keep my beautiful curls clean and mat free.

I’m tiny in size and very shy around everything new, so I’ll need lots of patience to trust you on my own terms. I get along great with dog and cat siblings as long as they respect my space. I do well with kids, but I need slow introductions and they must be very calm with me until I get to know them.

I wake up at 6 AM to potty outside and do my cute dance for breakfast. During the day, I enjoy resting in my crate (door open) where I can see what’s going on. I love going outside in my puppy sling, which I prefer because it makes me feel safe. I’m learning a lot by watching my fur-sister all the time. Dinner is at 5 PM, then outside to potty again for bedtime at 9 PM.

My potty training is nearly perfect, but I still don’t know how to tell you I’ve gotta go. A regular schedule, every 2-3 hours, works best for me.  I’m good on a leash unless I get scared, then I need to be held. I’m crate trained - I consider it my safe zone especially during storms. I do great in the car, but I’m still working on trusting humans and coming out of my shell. I’m very food motivated, so having treats on hand to help me be comfortable and lots of patience will help me blossom! 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Dog sibling NOT required. If I have one, he/she must be gentle with me since I’m so small 
-Stay-at-home parent(s) preferred, I’m still learning to trust
-Calm household, too much commotion scares me
-Fenced yard for frequent potty breaks (small yard ok). I need private outside time until I build my confidence.
