Hi there, I’m Hachie, a one-year-old, 40-pound poodle mix, and I like to think of myself as a professional love bug. I’m convinced I’m a lap dog and will happily prove it any chance I get.

Mornings are my favorite—I’m up around 6:30, ready to stretch my legs, take a quick stroll around the backyard, and then dive into breakfast, which is honestly one of the highlights of my day. After that, it’s playtime with my foster brother, and we can keep the fun going for hours before our daily neighborhood walk.

When my foster mom starts work, I take my job as her loyal assistant very seriously. I rest my head on her lap, follow her everywhere, and make sure she never forgets to give me plenty of pets. I love toys of all kinds and enjoy carrying them proudly out into the yard. I’m even practicing my perimeter patrol—I dream of being a guard dog someday, even if I’m mostly a softie. Fetch is a work in progress; I race after the ball like a champ, but giving it back still feels optional.

I’m very food motivated, so dinner at 5:30 is another big event for me. Evenings are filled with more playtime before I curl up for bed around 10. I go into my crate easily, though I might bark a bit to let you know I’d rather be with you. I’ve never been destructive—I just want to be reunited as soon as possible. I love walks and enjoy meeting the world, though seeing other dogs up close can feel overwhelming right now. I adore dogs, but lately I need slow introductions and a little patience to feel comfortable, especially with new dogs in my home or on the street. Inside the house, I sometimes get the zoomies with my foster brother, and we’re working on remembering our indoor manners.

I’m a happy, affectionate, enthusiastic guy who thrives on companionship, routine, and play. I can’t wait to find a family who will laugh with me, guide me, and let me be their loyal shadow. If you’re looking for a goofy, cuddly friend who wakes up ready to love you every day, I just might be your dog.
