Hi I’m Grover. I’m a 3yr old male poodle mix, weighing in around 63lbs!

I’m an easy going dude. I expect lots of attention and love, more than a dozen times throughout the day. I’m a great protector of the house and unphased with other dogs barking around me or meeting them out and about. I like playing with my toys, especially balls. I’ll even entertain myself as needed. I’m a bit lazy and expect to be allowed on any furniture. I won’t jump on it though (saving those hips) so a bench, stool or ramp is appreciated. I LOVE car rides and even try to sneak out the garage when the human leaves wanting to tag along. Trust me we won’t even know I’m in the car with you I’m so we’ll behaved. And at the end of the day I want to be the little spoon snoozing away in your arms.

I wake up about 6am and ready for breakfast immediately. Sometimes I go outside afterwards for a potty break, but I’ve been enjoying a little walk in the mornings too. If you want to sleep in that’s fine too, I’ll go back to sleep with ya. During the day I just hang around the house while my foster mom works. A doggie door might be cool so I can come and go as I please. Dinner happens around 6pm. Again I’m flexible, I can’t tell time yet. I take a potty break before bedtime at about 10pm.

I’m still working on my crate training. Treats help with getting me in the crate but I’d rather be with you. As for my trash habit it can be easily solved by a bungee cord or a baby latch. And I only go into the kitchen trash when I’m left unsupervised by my favorite human.

I was really sick when I came to Doodle Rock but have made a full recovery for the most part. I do have a couple of items that will be covered in my contract as I can't be sedated quite yet so soon after my recent heartworm treatments. My adoption coordinator will fill you in on the deets. No worries though, I am ready to live a long, healthy life with you by my side!
