Hi there! I’m a 2-year-old Poodle mix with soft, white curly hair that’s finally growing back, and I’m feeling fabulous. I weigh about 16 pounds, and even though I had a rough start in life, I’m a very happy girl now.

I’m a certified lapdog and blanket burrower. My favorite things are snuggling in a cozy dog bed (under my blanket, of course) or curling up in your lap for a nap. Once I feel safe, I slowly start to explore, but slippery floors like tile or wood make me nervous, so I prefer soft surfaces under my paws.

I’m not really a toy player, though I might chase a bug if it crosses my path. I’ve learned that after my morning potty break, breakfast is waiting for me — and I love sticking to that routine! After eating, I usually settle in for a nap while my foster mom works, and later I enjoy some sunshine and fresh air outside.
I’m a bit shy about going potty around other dogs, but once I’m done, I hurry back inside like a champ. I love dinner at 6 p.m., and I’m always ready at my bowl with a wagging tail. At night, I snuggle with my foster mom and burrow under her pillows, feeling safe and loved.

I adore attention from new people and love giving lots of grateful kisses in return. I’m still a little nervous around bigger dogs, though, because I had some bad experiences on the streets. I’m working on that at my own pace.

I’m currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, so I need a calm, low-key home — which suits me perfectly. I take my medicine with meals and I’m doing great. I don’t mind my crate, especially when treats are involved, and I’m learning to come out more easily with a little encouragement.

I’m looking for a patient, loving family who will let me take life at my own pace, shower me with snuggles, and help me continue to feel safe, happy, and loved.
