Hi, I’m Gizmo — a happy little poodle mix with a big personality packed into my 14-pound body. I’m about a year and a half old, and my foster mom says I walk through life with a smile on my face. Honestly, she’s right. I love people, playtime, belly rubs, and being wherever my favorite humans are. If you move, chances are I’m moving with you. They call me a Velcro dog for a reason.

My absolute favorite thing in the whole world is going for walks. The second I see the leash come out, I turn into a bouncing kangaroo because I get so excited to explore the neighborhood. I do sometimes bark when I see new people or dogs because I get overwhelmed and excited, but I calm down pretty quickly once I realize everything is okay. I’m especially a little nervous around men at first, though kind voices and patience help me warm up fast.

I also love playing with my foster brother, chasing water from the garden hose, and trying to catch ice cubes before they melt. During the day, I hang out with my foster mom while she works from home, usually supervising from the office window to make sure the neighborhood stays in order.

I’ve been doing really well with routines, eating on schedule, and gaining healthy weight. At night, after a good walk and lots of activity, I happily curl up and sleep through the night like a champ.

I’m still working on a few things, like being quieter around new people, trusting hands around my leash and collar, and not getting “mouthy” when I want attention. But underneath all that excitement is a sweet, affectionate little dog who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included in your life.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with endless enthusiasm, a goofy smile, and lots of love to give, I’m ready to be your best friend.
