Hi, I’m Garth. I’m a 3 year old, 44 pound bundle of sweetness with a gentle heart and a playful, affectionate personality. Once I feel safe and connected, I give my whole heart. I’m the kind of dog who truly wants to belong and be part of a family, and when I do, I’m happiest right by your side.

I’m thoughtful and curious, and I do best when my days have some structure. I’m an early riser and like to start my mornings around 6:30 with a trip outside, followed by breakfast and a calm start to the day. After that, I’m usually content relaxing while you’re at work. When you come home, that’s my favorite part of the day. I’m ready to head outside again, get my zoomies out in the yard, and soak up all the love and attention I can get. Evenings are for dinner, relaxing, and settling in on my big comfy bed where I sleep beautifully through the night.

Affection is my love language. I adore face rubs, ear scratches, cuddles, and being close to my people. I’m sweet and gentle at heart, but when I’m excited, especially during playtime or snuggles, I can be enthusiastic and extra affectionate. I’m still learning personal space, so I do best with older kids who can help reinforce boundaries in a kind and consistent way. I’m a smart boy and pick up on commands quickly, though leash walking is still a confidence-building work in progress, and I’ll thrive with patient training and encouragement.

I would absolutely flourish in a calm household with a fenced yard where I can run, play, and feel secure. Having another friendly dog in the home would make me so happy, as I truly enjoy companionship and having a buddy to play with. A family with a flexible schedule, patience for continued training, and a lot of love to give would be my perfect match. I don’t need perfection, just understanding, consistency, and someone who sees how special I am and wants to grow together.
