Frenchie‘s Story

Je m’appelle Frenchie—just like in the Fancy Nancy books! I’m a 9-month-old, 12-pound Miniature Poodle. I like to be my foster mom’s shadow and since she’s usually moving, so am I! Sometimes I do run super fast in circles around the house with my foster brother, but he’s a senior, so when he runs out of energy, I settle back down right away.

Do you have kids? I hope so! I LOVE kids and am very patient with the baby. I have to keep track of that little guy, because my foster mom forgets where she puts him when he takes his naps. She’s always asking, “Where’s the baby?” and I have to run up the stairs and show her where the nursery door is.

I get a little bit nervous around men at first, but I get sooo excited when foster dad comes home now that I know he gives the best belly rubs—I love those. Sometimes he forgets to put his shoes up, so I try to cover for him and carry them around the house so foster mom doesn’t see!

I go straight in my crate when asked at night and try my best not to snore too loud. During the day, I bark when I first go in because I know the family is leaving to run errands but then I go to sleep.

I still need some help potty training, but my foster mom knows I can do it! She says I will get better just like I have with my leash—I’m a great walking buddy now that I’m used to the route.

My foster mom says I’m going to make the right family really happy. I’m great for play, but if you’re laying down, guess what? Me too!
