My name is Ferrero and I’m pleased to meet you! I am a male St Berdoodle (which I learned is a mix of St Bernard and Poodle!), and I was born May 24th, 2024. Right now I’m about 33 pounds, but I’m still growing! My foster mom says I do not shed.

My mommy calls me her little love bug because I sure do love the cuddles! Apparently I am super smart and mom says I’ll do anything for a treat. I guess that’s true because I learned how to sit within a few days! I’m still working on things like lay, stay, easy, and something about manners coming inside and outside… I love chew toys; my favorite right now is an antler! I’m fond of pull toys and love evenings when I can play tug of war and wrestle with my foster furry brother. My mom says I have the cutest dirty toes, almost like they were dipped in chocolate. 🙄 I wonder if that’s where I got my name?!

My mom is super proud of me for sleeping through the night. I like to get up and immediately go outside about 6:30 - I’ve been holding it all night! Then I am SO ready for breakfast. A few minutes working on my “skills” then it’s off to the office to nap A LOT while my mom works. Lots of potty breaks throughout the day, but I don’t play much and am ready to get back inside. I like the cold and snow, so the heat really gets to me fast. At 4:00, I’m ready to play but my tummy is grumbling! A quick dinner, then it’s play time!! I turn into a pumpkin about 9:00 and I’m off to dream land… 💤

I’m still a puppy, so there is lots left for me to learn. I do really well watching my furry foster brother and trying to copy what he does. Did I mention how much I love playing with my fur brother?! I’m picking up words really fast! I also really love my 2-legged foster siblings; I think they’re super cool and I feel very safe and comfortable with their small stature. But I do have sharp teeth and nails that I’m still learning to control. Like a lot of puppies my age, I always think I’m starving, so mommy is working with me on being calm around breakfast/dinner times and not snarfing my food too quickly. The great news is that I’m very quick to learn because I want those treats!! 😍 My foster family is super proud of me for not being a big chewer like most pups my age. As long as I have an antler and a chew toy, I’m happy to leave shoes, furniture, rugs, and other “paws off” things alone.

- Fenced in Yard
- Limited outside time in summer
- Work From Home Parent/Flex
- Patience for Training
