🌟 Hi there! My name is Esmeralda, and I'm an adorable 8-pound poodle mix from the valley. The humans say I'm about 10 years old, but I definitely don't feel that way! 🐾 I have a low-maintenance coat that sheds just a bit, and I'm even lower maintenance when it comes to oral health—because I have no teeth!

My foster mom describes me as spunky, loving, and always up for an adventure. I do tend to yap a lot, but that's just because I have so much to say! My thoughts are important, and I love sharing them. 🗣️
I'm a pretty laid-back girl when it comes to structure and routine. My foster mom works from home, so our days are always a bit different, and I'm happy to go with the flow. I enjoy relaxing outside, keeping an eye on the humans, and napping. The only thing I'm strict about is sleeping in bed with you. I need to be close and usually demand to sleep under the covers, right next to you. 🛏️💤

Here are some of my favorite hobbies:
* Being involved in everything and following you around 🚶‍♀️
* Barking at animals on TV, squirrels outside, people walking by, and the humans when they're making my food 🦴
* Going on adventures, both walking and driving 🚗
* Basking in the sun with my tongue out ☀️👅
* Taking naps 💤

I'm potty-pad trained and know I should go outside, but I occasionally have accidents. My current backyard is astroturf, which I don't like on my feet. I am working on my basic command and I'm eager to please so, I can probably learn more if you're willing to teach me.

I do okay when left at home with other dogs, but I'd much prefer to tag along on your errands or go to work with you. I'd thrive as a "purse puppy." 👜

I might be perfect, but there are a few things you should know:
* I have KCS/dry eyes, so I need eye drops in both eyes twice a day for the rest of my life 👀💧
* I have a grade 3 luxating patella in my back right leg, so I take pain management meds with every meal and a joint supplement 🦵💊
* I probably have a chicken allergy, so no poultry for me 🐔🚫
* I have no teeth, but I still prefer kibble over wet food 🦷
