Hi! My name is Elphaba but I go by “Elphie.” I’m a one year old shitzu who weighs in at about 11 pounds. My foster parents say I have the best underbite on this side of DFW. My personality is right up there with my underbite - I’m unique, sassy, and so darn fun!

I love to be in the middle of the action with dogs big and small. I’m always down to play - and I can definitely make fetch happen.

My foster siblings usually wake up around 6am - but I like to wake them up a few minutes earlier because I like to make the most of my morning. I always wake up happy and ready to play.

Throughout the day I’m always down for a nap or two and I like to couple my naps with breakfast, playtime and dinner. I also provide administrative support to my foster dad while he works from home. I got to bed around 9pm and I sleep in my crate at night.

My foster parents love my bark and they make fun of me sometimes by saying I’m “stubborn.” I just like to do things the way I like to do them! I’ve been working hard to teach them.

I’m still a puppy, so I sometimes forget that I’m not supposed to chew on things. I love bully sticks and toys though. Those things are always fun to chew on! I’m also content to be in my crate at various times of the day - especially if there is a chew involved!
