Hi there, I’m Ellie—though some folks call me Ellie Mae (IYKYK). I’m a 2-year-old poodle/terrier mix, tipping the scales at a dainty 25 pounds. My foster mom says I’m pure sweetness—easygoing, affectionate, and full of love. Maybe it’s because I’ve been a mom before, and I still carry that gentle, nurturing heart. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be near my people—always. If you sneeze, cough, or even sigh too hard, I’ll come trotting over to check on you. That’s just how much I care.

I’m a big fan of belly rubs, morning walks, and curling up beside you—or right on you, if I can get away with it. I use my paws like little hands to remind you to keep petting me or to nudge that phone out of your hand. I’m a low-maintenance kind of gal: I rise when you rise, start my day with a potty break, breakfast, and then a nice stroll. The rest of my day is filled with light zoomies, snacks, snuggles, and supervised people-watching.

Now, I’ll be honest—I take my job as your protector seriously. New people and new dogs? I need time to warm up, especially if they show up at my house. I’m much more open to meeting visitors in neutral spaces where I don’t feel like I have to guard my territory. But once I trust you, I’ll love you forever.
